Hi my name is Laura and I am one of the Specialist Speech and Language Therapist’s at RPSALT. I specialise in early years and complex needs and love working with children and young adults across all ages. I work with children who have a wide range of needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy and Global Developmental delay; in addition to more rare diagnoses. I am also very excited about being the dedicated Speech and Language Therapist for Down Syndrome Liverpool! I am very passionate about utilising everyone around the child and always endeavour to develop the skills of everyone working with them. I enjoy team working and knowledge sharing and my end goal is to always have Parents/ Carers/ Teachers and other key adults feel confident and comfortable enough to support the communication needs of the child. Prior to working at RPSALT I was a Senior Speech and Language Therapist within the NHS; here I gained a wealth of knowledge in early years language development and speech sound disorders. I worked across a variety of settings and also sat on an early years funding panel which provided a vital insight into local authority funding processes. When I’m not in work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love musical theatre and you will often find me having a sing and dance in sessions, in the corridor or just when making a cuppa!
