A Bit About Clare

Hello! I’m Clare, I am a schools Speech and Language Therapy Assistant. I work along side our school Therapists to support in the delivery of individual and group therapy sessions for primary school age children within their own school setting. Prior to joining the team in this very rewarding role, I have worked closely with children and their families in a variety of settings including school and in the home. Since gaining my NNEB diploma in 1997 my roles have included, Nursery Nurse position within a 0-5 Nursery setting, TA in a primary school setting, delivering early literacy support program’s to small groups of children and supporting teaching staff with the delivery of key stage 1 curriculum and most recently a lengthy career within Wirral Children’s services as a Family Support Worker, supporting parents to improve the outcomes for their children by providing packages of parenting support within the home as well as working directly with vulnerable children and young people to support them to reach their potential. I am passionate and enthusiastic about helping each child I work with to achieve their best quality of life and being able to support them on their speech and language journey is an honor! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my partner and children and we love making the most of our National Trust memberships and finding new places to visit, I also love cooking and trying out new recipes!
