Hello, I’m Amanda, one of RPSLTs clinic based therapists! I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2024 with my degree in Speech and Language Therapy (hons) and was also awarded the Sandra Robertson Clinical Excellence prize. I am registered with both the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) and The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). Although this is my first SLT role before working with RPSLT I enjoyed supporting children with their linguistic and speech development during my studies through placements in clinics, client's homes and schools. I am proud to work with children of all ages with a range of speech and language needs such as language delays, speech sound disorders and various communication needs to help them develop into effective communicators. I’m passionate about working with parents and educators to create environments in which children can make progress and devleop linguistically, through using their strengths and interests. I believe that there is a way for every child to communicate successfully and my role is to support them to unlock the confidence and skills to do so. I am proud to support families and to be a part of their journey. When I'm not working, I am spending time with my family and friends, going on adventures and enjoying good food and music.
